Paris Hotel

We just returned from a wonderful 5 nights in Paris. We stayed at the Hotel Bedford, 17, Rue de L'Arcade, near Eglise Madeline. It conveniently located in the 8th. The hotel has undergone an extensive renovation and we had an absolutely fabulous room. We usually stay at the Prince de Gaulle, but we were three adults in a room on a budget this time. The room was very large and extremely comfortable. The standard rooms are small, but comfortable looking from my glance in from the hall. The breakfast buffet was generous and was included in our room price. I found a great internet rate of 218 euros for 3. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. www.hotel-bedford.com

Finally, an alternative to the usual St Germain recs...;)

I would just point out that for that price you can get 2 rooms at the Muguet, for example. I guess it depends on how the 218 was split up however--3 ways, or 2 and 1.

Hi
thanks for the info
I notice on the hotel website that they offer breakfast for an additional price, did you try it?

Elaine, OP says the breakfast buffet was plentiful and included in their room price.

Glad to hear a recommendation for the Bedford; it's interested me for years.

I emailed the Bedford, and for a single room in mid-December they are quoting me 158e. They are throwing in breakfast, and I would have been interested since I like staying on the right bank, but it's over my budget for this particular trip.
