Paris Hostel in Latin Quarter?

Can anyone please suggest a cheap, but safe hostel in the Latin Quarter? I am staying by myself in July. Thank you.

Not a "hostel", but a good hotel: I really like and feel quite comfortable at Hotel Les Jardins du Luxembourg. Stay here often. http://www.travel-in-paris.com/jardi...rg/english.htm

Great location, just across the street from Luxembourg Gardens. Easy walk to most sites or to metro stop.

You can email directly to the hotel at [email protected]

There are websites specific to backpacking and hostel travel. Try over on Lonely Planet's Thorn Tree Western European branch. Great info and lively site.

Not sure what your budget is but you could also try checking www.eurocheapo.com

YOu can read hostel reviews and comments on www.hostels.com and www.eurotrip.com

Other than that, the two I have heard are good in the Latin Qtr in particular are Young & Happy on rue Mouffetard
www.youngandhappy.fr
and BVJ more towards the Seine. HEre are some other good conacts (including BVJ address) from the Timeout Paris online guide, which is excellent:
