Paris honeymoon in late Feb?
My fiance and I are getting married in late Feb 2003. We have a 2-week honeymoon and I am trying to convince him that we should spend the first week in Paris, then the second week in the Caribbean. He is unsure of Paris because of the weather -- and I keep telling him "Paris is Paris!" and not to worry about the weather. Have you traveled to Paris in Feb/March, and what was your experience?

Thanks very much.

Paris is Paris! What a romantic city. Maybe you could save Paris for your first anniversary. But if you're getting married in February, your anniversary getaways are always going to be at off season and cold.

You're going to likely be spending alot of time in your hotel room that first week, so get a nice room and enjoy great dining at night. How romantic to come out just in time for a walk along the Seine, dinner and an evening cruise.

We've been there in Feb the last 5 years (and will be again) and most days it was really quite nice - winter cold but not biting or unbearable at all. Some days pretty mild. However, keep in mind that Paris weather is very unpredictable and can change in a minute. One year it was sunny and mild, cool, cold, hail, rain, snow, and sunny and mild - and all on the same day. So bring layers of clothing to put on or take off, umbrellas, and you'll be fine. You will love Paris.
For more Paris information go to www.anamericaninparis.com

My birthday is in February and I usually spend four days in Paris and four days in Hawaii.

Paris is wonderful in February. It is not crowded, museums are manageable, hotels are not fully-booked, and people are nicer. Be sure to wear lots of layers. As others have said, the weather is unpredictable. I have seen snow flurries only once, hail only once, and no rain in February. The weather is usually mild (mid 40's) and clear. We spend most of our time in museums but also enjoy strolling.

Have a great time!
