Paris Home base-Day trips recommendations needed.
 

I will be visiting Paris during the month of April, please recommend some day trips by train or car.

Also, do you know of hotels in Milan which will sleep three to six people?

To name a few: Versailles, Chartres, Reims, Loire Valley, Rouen. What do you like to see and do?

If you love Monet, you should do a daytrip to Giverny. It was gorgeous.

The Chateau Vaux-le-Vicomte and Auvers-sur-Oise, including the impressionist show at the Auvers Chateau, have been our favorites.

Plus Fontainebleau, Chantilly, Senlis, Ile des Impressionistes......

I've never done it but have read enough about it: the French Riviera via TGV (high-speed train). If you go with that idea, please reserve an overnight hotel in advance of your trip. Bonne chance!

Great recommendations! I will research them. The French Riviera sounds like a plan as well.
