Paris- Help us pick a restaurant out of these choices

We are trying to choose 2 restaurants between all of these places and would love any help or advice!

La Fontaine de Mars
Bistrot du 7eme
L'Ardoise
ALLARD
AU GOURMAND
L'Epi Dupin
A la Biche a Bois
Monsieur Lapin

Thanks in advance!

Monsieur Lapin, which we discovered in the mid-90's, specializes in rabbit and is an excellent choice (see Patricia Wells).

L'Epi Dupin is highly over-rated. The food is good but not great. The service lacking and the portions small.

The Fontaine de Mars is a good choice, especially for southwest cuisine.

Au Gourmand is fine and has a big following.

But may I suggest Au Bon Accueil, rue de Monttesxuy, 75007, instead. It's in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower and an excellent choice for either lunch or dinner.

I just discovered Allard on my last trip, and I really enjoyed it for a good meal in a bustling bistro. I liked the food and the energy! Next time I will try the duck, which is smothered with green olives.

Went to La Fontaine de Mars, also, and although I liked it, I think I was expecting more from all the raves on here.

Hi Robert, thanks for your reply. We actually do have a reservation at Au Bon Accueil - but thank you for your recommendation.

We're just looking for one evening we have free and trying to decide which place to go!

I was at La Fontaine de Mars about 2 weeks ago. If I were staying in the 7th I might drop in again sometime, but otherwise I would not go out of my way to get there.
Food was good, everything about it was fine, but not especially memorable imo.
We were surrounded by chain smokers which definitely affected our experience there.
Yummy Ile Flotante for dessert if that is of interest. That I remember.

Elaine, I agree about the Ile Flottante--wonderful! I tried it at home, and it was less than spectacular. Might try it again with a different recipe.
