Paris help - madeleines now!

Hi, I need some quick help. I am in Paris now and need to buy madeleines for my friend (I promised her!). Where do I find them? Any recommendations. I leave Paris on Sunday :-(

Thanks!!

Just about any patisserie you see.

Or any supermarket...

The supermarket would be better as they will be cellophane-wrapped which will be better for freshness and maybe even have a plastic case so that they don't get crushed in your bags going home.

If there's a Starbucks in your home town, try the madeleines there--they're quite good.

Try Hediards for the oval boxed ones from Commercy, where their fame comes from through Proust.

Try some at Proust's. Really evocative.

You might lose a lot of time searching for them.

Subordinate clause after subordinate clause...

Thanks all. I did try at the Monoprix and fanprix close to my hotel but couldnt find any. Yes, I did want the supermarket ones, not from patisseries. I will try the other suggestions here! Thanks

Every supermarket has them. There are with the cookies and things like that, usually near the coffee aisle. They are usually 1 kilo bags.

I got them at Hediards. They were really superior to the ones in the supermarkets. Thanks cigalechanta!
