Paris Groupon for transportation to CDG - a good deal???

I'm headed to Paris in August with my husband and two nieces. For fun, I've signed up for Paris Groupon. Today I received an offer for what appears to be car service to the airport with choices of round-trip or one-way and CDG or Orly. At least, I think that's what it's for...

The four of us will arrive from Rome into Orly and then three of us will leave from the Les Halles area to CDG. If I am reading the offer correctly, it looks like I can purchase a one way transport for 29 euro and that would be good for either Orly into Paris or Paris to CDG (although for our Orly trip, we would have 4 people and the cost would increase by 10 euro). A roundtrip can be purchased for 49 euro.

I am hoping that someone with better than my tourist French might take a look at this offer and tell me if it looks like this would work for me. Because we will be arriving from Orly and departing from CDG, I think I would be better off getting two one-ways, or would the round-trip work for us?

Also, is anyone familiar with this company, Transport de Personnes? It wouldn't be a deal if we were late for our flight!

I appreciate the help - thanks!

Thanks for the tip.

Check out viator.com for comparison.

Sorry my French is also very limited.

If you open the link in chrome it translates into English. It looks like you are correct in understanding the deal.

While the price itself is not bad, there are a lot of conditions: must reserve 5 days in advance, extra charge if you arrive more than 30 minutes late, and really no guarantees that anyone will be there when you are (reservations are subject to availability).

Just to keep this deal into perspective, a taxi from ORY into Pairs will only cost about 30€

Thanks for the replies.

Sarastro, I didn't realize that a cab would only be 30 euro, that sounds like a much easier way to go. Would 4 of us with luggage fit into one cab?

For the trip from Paris to CDG, however, this deal might be a good bet since we know what time we want to be picked up at our apartment. We are staying close to Les Halles, though, and I had planned on taking the RER, which still might be the best option.

Taxis will charge you, above the fare, 3€ for the 4th person and 1€ for each bag placed into the trunk after the first. Shuttles between ORY and Paris charge almost double what a taxi will typically charge.

Many people consider their flights home very important and will want to be sure they are at the check in counter at least 3 hours before scheduled departure for transatlantic flights (the counters close 1 hour before departure). Shuttles, regardless of price, have a very spotted reliability record so if you attempt to use them for transportation to CDG, leave very early and have a backup plan in place.

Taxi G7 has an English language operator if need one:

Thanks for the info, Sarastro. I think we will stick with the cab from ORY and the RER to CDG.
