Paris/France Itinerary

First let me thank all of those who post such wonderful information on this site. Your knowledge has already helped a great deal in planning our trip. We leave for Paris on the 22nd returning May 1. My thoughts are to spend the the first 5 nights in Paris then drive to Burgundy for the last three. My wife and I are in our late 20's and love to see new things and try great food and wine!! I am focusing on the Paris portion of the trip now. I have narrowed the hotels down to the following:
Villa Luxembourg - $129.00
Hotel La Tour Notre dame - $134.00
Sully St Germain - $137.00
Moderne St Germain - $120.00
Villa Lutece Port Royal - $125.00
Villa Montparnasse - $165.00
California St Germain - $120.00
Hotel Royal St Germain - $151.00

I have included the prices per night to show what we will be spending in case anyone has other suggestions. As I said before we are looking for a nice hotel close to great restaurants, shops, the metro, etc. We enjoy being able to walk to our hotel after a fantastic night on the town. Thank you for all of your help and suggestions!!

Do I understand you correctly? You leave on April 22, 2003 and you have not booked your hotel in Paris.

You might want to make a decision ASAP! Some of those hotels may already be booked.

Nothing like waiting until the last minute!! The good news is all of the above hotels have availability.

Have you considered renting an apartment? We rented an absolutely wonderful one bedroom in Les Halles last June. very central to everything. was situated parallel to the Rue Montegueirl - an excellent pedestrian only shopping district. the cost was $140 per night.
