Food: We splurged on lunch at the Restaurant le Meurice Alain Ducasse (228 rue de Rivoli). It was wonderful. We also loved Bistroy Les Papilles.

Museums: We always enjoy L'Orangerie and Musee d'Orsay. The Rodin Museum's renovation should be done by now--gorgeous setting for beautiful sculptures.

I'd love to see a performance at Opera Garnier--I'm not sure what's on in May. We also enjoyed Saint Denis.

Paris is wonderful; I'm sure you'll enjoy.

I, too, will be in Paris On May 25 for a week, then on to Rome for two weeks. How fun if some of us were there at the same time and met up for lunch! I did this once on a cruise with a person I met on Fodors. She even knew the captain of our ship and had us upgraded. I did not believe her when she told me she could do this, but she did! Happy traveling everyone! Just an fyi that we have tickets to the ballet! Yeah!

Wow. We too will be in Paris on the 29th after 4 days in Normandy. Tried to get Giselle tickets at Opera Garnier, but DW decided instead to take a day trip to London via Chunnel and will see a theater show instead. We're going with friends who've never been to Europe, but I'd be interested in trying to set up some form of a GTG for lunch on the 30th or 31st if possible.

I wish Fodors had an option to email you when people reply to your comments! Let's see what we can arrange!

@kraines we were thinking about doing the ballet but ended up seeing an opera instead. I wish we were there longer.
