We've decided for the apartment in Bagnolet. My daughter isn't sure she will even need to bring the dog, and the extra €600, even split three ways, is difficult for my other daughter, an underpaid musicologist. I sent an email to the Bagnolet apartment owners explaining the situation, and after inquiring into the dog's size and character references, they said she could come with us for a small extra fee.

The neighborhood looks nice, there are some interesting-looking restaurants nearby, and the apartment is much roomier than the alternatives.

I hope you will give us a follow-up about how things turned out after Christmas.

I have every intention of doing so.

We had a pleasant stay in Bagnolet, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
