Where to stay in Paris with a 9 yr old
Hello,
My 9 yr old son and I are traveling to Italy for 6 weeks this summer (June/July). I would like to take the night train to Paris. We are only going to be able to spend one or two days and want to see the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre. Any suggestions would be great. Our biggest concern is where to stay that is safe and not to expensive. Thank you for your suggestions.

What's your budget for a hotel - in euros if you can.
The louvre is HUGE and may not be the right thing for a 9 year old. Musee d'orsay and musee Rodin are smaller and might appeal more.
The Jardin du Luxembourg is pretty and has a pond where children hire toy boats to float on the pond. It's very cute.

I'm building my budget around the options I find. I'm hoping for less than 80 euros per night. I'd like to do a hostel or something cheap but I'm concerned it won't be safe. Truly we want to see the Eiffel tower so if we have to take the train over and spend the day and go back that may be what we do. Thank you for your suggestions. I also read something about trampolines in a park, Sounds fun.

Try Hotel Cosmos in the 11th. Great neighbourhood, not too touristy, very clean hotel with very little charm. We always stay there...doubles go for €72 http://www.cosmos-hotel-paris.com/fr,1,10726.html

There is a night train but it takes 12 hours. Are you sure you want to do that twice with a 9 year old? It would be better if you could find a cheap flight and have more time in Paris.
The train leaves at 21:24 and gets to Paris at 9:30. When you book the train be careful as there are 2 trains leaving Verona at the same time. One makes a connection at 6:30AM.
