Paris fashion show

I know the Galleries Lafayette fashion shows in Paris are on Tues and Fri, and we can't make those. Are there other stores that do the same thing? Our girls (12 and 14) are dying to go.
Thanks!
Sandy

Just went to the one at Galeries Lafayette w/13-year-old daughter, a highlight of our trip. I'd bet Printemps next door would have one too. I reserved ours on line so see if Printemps has a web site.

Paris has weekly fashion shows? Where do I find info on what times, etc.? I know my girlfriend, the shopaholic, would love to go to one of those! Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Travis: check out the Paris miniguide on this website...under department stores it list the times and locations.

Go to the Galeries Lafayette web site: galerieslafayette.com. Click on Plan du Site, then English. Then click on "More" under fashion show. You send them an email telling them when you want to go; you can't send it more than one month before the actual date. They will then email you a confirmation, which you bring with you to the show. It lasts about 40 minutes and it was great fun for me and my daughter! They give you a printed program that lists all the outfits, their designers, prices and the floor where they're sold.

thank you Erin and Andi!

Another quick question, is there any dress codes to follow for one of these shows...ie....do I have to dress up, or can I come casual?

andi Apr 25th, 2002 09:36 AM

The confirmation notice actually stipulates a dress code: "Smart casual." That said, people were not all that dressed up and it seemed to be mostly Americans. My daughter wore her usual jeans and sneakers, I aimed for (and probably missed) casual chic.

ha ha, that made me chuckle...I'm sure you made casual chic in your own way! Thanks Andi, I look forward to it!
