Hi, For a family of 5,arriving on Wednesday and leaving on Monday morning. Would you buy carnets or a pass>?
If so which one.
I am think mainly of taking buses.

I would get the Carte Orange assuming you will use bus or metro an average of 4 times per day. I think that is about the "break even" point.

Might add, if you don't already have a CO "cover" you may need to buy the "navigo decouverte" which is available to non-residents.

Bonjour! Have 2 days in Paris at end of a tour - have narrowed to two hotels - Hotel Regyn's Montmarte - or Prince Albert Louvre which is in center. First is beautiful and quiet - second budget in centre - I am traveling by myself. Which would you recommend. Dates are 10-13 thru 10-15. Merci.....

Unlike the old t ticket, the new t+ ticket that comes in a carnet is good for bus transfers up to 90 minutes after boarding the first bus (no transfers between Metro and bus). The price for people over 10 is €11.10. The price for children 4-9 is €5.55.

The Carte Orange is a great deal, but there is no reduced price for children.

Persons under 26 can buy one-day zone 1-3 Ticket Jeunes passes for either Saturday or Sunday for €3.20.

One-day zone 1-2 Mobilis passes cost €5.60.

Buy carnets and share the tickets. Buy Tickets Jeunes for those who qualify for Saturday and Sunday. If you know you're going to take six or more rides on a given day, buy Mobilis passes for that day for people over 10 and save the tickets from your carnets for days when you take fewer rides.
