Am currently in paris - i need to get a regular injection which I require and thought it would be easy to find an american clinic or english-speaking clinic and/or doctor as it is always easier in the case of healthcare to speak to someone who understands the same language!) - - but i have found nothing in the yellow pages here ... Call the American Embassy. It is sure to have a list of English-speaking doctors.

Try asking in a pharmacy in the area for a neighborhood doctor who speaks French. I'm drawing a blank, but we used one located on in the 8th arrondissement. Her first name is Anne Marie and I can't think of her last name. Sorry to be of so little help, just wanted to offer the pharmacy connection.
Also, if you seem pathetic enough, you may be able to get help from your front desk clerks. |
We found the information on my mom's computer
Dr. Anne Marie Meyers in the 8th arrondissement. Best of luck! She was excellent when we were there 2.5 years ago. |
Gallega,
I go to Doctor Francis Slattery at 32 rue Vignon, an Irish doctor near the Madelein Metro stop. Visit the Pages Jaunes Web site to find his phone number. He's a very good listener. You do pay a premium for English-speaking medical care, however. |
The American Embassy in Paris has a list of English-speaking physicians and hospitals on their web page, by specialty. Here is the URL for the document:

Just get ready to pay big time for those doctors on the american embassy website. I thought I needed a crown and had never gotten around to getting a dentist here in Paris. I made an appointment with a dentist on the list and then called back to find out how much they charge for a crown. I was told 1300$ excluding appoinments! YIKES! I found another dentist on my own and ended up not needing a crown.
