Paris: Distance from Parc Monceau to Arc de Triomphe?

Thinking of walking between these two points. Anyone know how far it is? Does a bus run between the two? Metro option?

Also, how far might it be if you went Arc de Triomphe - Parc Monceau - Musee JACQUEMART-ANDRE?

Is there a site that shows walking distances between various attractions?

The site you seek is mappy.com

Mappy is a great tool for this sort of information. The English version may be found at:

http://www22.mappy.com/?lang=en

Use the "Itinerary" feature and choose "Pedestrian" under the dropdown menu that starts with "Express" and it will show you the route and distance.

This particular trip is 1.4 km, and according to Mappy should take you 22 minutes, so an easy stroll.

mappy.com is in English.

Hi C,

On many a Sunday we have started from the Parc Monceau Metro or bus stop, strolled through the park, had brunch at the Jacquemart-Andre', visited the museum, walked to the Arc and down the Champs Elysee to the Louvre.

Sometimes the Russian Cathedrale at 12 Rue Daru is open. Well worth seeing.

Any map of Paris will tell you that - you just have to look at the scale to figure it out.

"mappy.com is in English."

Yes, it is, Robespierre. I was not correcting you. We had posted simultaneously, and since I generally access is as mappy.fr (which will bring up the French version) I made a point of giving an English language link.

Thank you all for the info. I soon found out that you really need the street address of all the locations you are interested in researching or stringing together - putting just in the attraction name lead me nowhere.

Hi C,

>putting just in the attraction name lead me nowhere.

At www.mappy.com I entered "Parc Monceau, Paris, France" and "Arc de triomphe, Paris, France" and "pedestrian" and it shows me a map and a walking route.

1.4 km - 0:22 hr.
