Paris: dinner after "How to Be Parisian in One Hour" on Sunday, where?
 

Thank you, in advance, for assitance fodorites! We (4 girlfriends) are going to see "How to Be Parisian in One Hour" from 5:30 - 6:30 on Sunday evening. It is near the intersection of Avenue Ledru Rollin and Rue de Charonne. Our apartment is on Rue de Sevres.

After the show, I imagine we'll be hungry. Since it's a Sunday evening, are there any restaurant recommendatins near that area, or would we be better off returning to our apartment neighborhood for dinner. Thoughts anyone?

You may need to get a list of restaurants open Sunday and choose from them. AND then make a reservation at one. Why does it have to be close? You can get anywhere pretty easily--and that is still early for dinner. ;o)

Unless you might still be getting over jet lag, I agree with Gretchen. That being said, one street over from Sevres, Rue du Cherche Midi has quite a few restaurants that you might google to see about Sunday hours. And yes, to be safe and polite, make a reservation.

Our favorite Petit Verdot is not open on Sunday but it's a wonderful place for another day. Someone else told me that Rue du Cherche Midi is a good shopping street--so second-hand info only, but FYI.

If you google Rue de Charonne restaurants, you can see restos there as well. You can also google "directions" and see how long it would take to walk, bus or metro from the play to "home".

Sounds like a fun time!

Bistrot du Peintre, 116 avenue Ledru Rollin, at the corner of rude de Charonne. Open every day, including Sunday, until very late.

Le Nemrod, near the rue de Sevres is a fun local café that will be open Sunday night. Le Cherche Midi is an Italian restaurant, also open, but a bit pricy. Finally Le Petit Lutece on the rue de Sevres is open, too.

You still have time for a wander after the show, so I can recommend a lovely place called La Cuisine on Blvd La Tour Maubourg in the 7th - just down from the river. It's open Sundays, with a prix fixe menu dinner option, they are very welcoming and friendly, and the food is great - especially the cannelloni of chocolate for dessert! After dinner you can stroll along the riverside to the Tour Eiffel and watch the lights. A taxi back to your apartment on a Sunday night would not be much between four of you.
