Paris-De Gaulle Layover Option
Flying to Pisa by way of Paris-De Gaulle with 83 year old parent in mid-December. Have 7 hour layover between flights. Looking for hotel where we can rest between flights for a while. Do any local nearby hotels offer a short-stay option for travelers?
Thanks in advance.

Just go to a budget hotel, like Ibis, which is at the airport. Novotel would be cheaper than the Sheraton, also. What you pay for a day's rate there is probably cheaper than a day-rate at the Hilton or Sheraton (if they have such a thing, I don't think they do at CDG, not Hilton or most hotels). YOu could just big on Priceline or something real cheap, also, they have hotels out there. The Sheraton's day rate is about 150 euro, and have limited hours of course (9 am to 6 pm).

If it's just a question of lying down on a bed, the Formule 1 for 29€ might be okay as well.
Take a look at the Roissy Aéroport Charles de Gaulle options at www.accorhotels.com -- you can spend from 29€ to 200€ or more in the various hotels of the chain.

And your down time won't be nearly as much as you think -- you cannot spend 5-6 hours in a hotel resting because you'll have to be at CDG 3 hours early to check in for your flight (unless you're checked through and have boarding passes for the flight to the US) and negotiate the madness that is France's very own aviation pit of despair.
