If going to several museums get the Paris Museum Pass which not only garners free entry to most museums but lets you skip lines at entrances.

But you won't skip the security line. Everyone goes through security, independent of the ticket line.

Lines are very long at some museums even this time of the year. It was just so cold to stand outside in line most days this week. Security is very tough in some places. I have noticed so much temporary barriers put into place and new walls going up all around the Effiel tower now. Last visit was right before the nightclub shooting and we could walk right under, not anymore. Security first. I would get the museum pass for sure next trip. Our concert last night had a lot of layers of security, one being a full body pat-down. 6,200 aprox sold out concert so they did a great job and we got in quickly.

Gemini, we stayed in the 2nd this time due to it being short days and colder. We just have everything here for dining and shopping but like the 14th also. We take the metro all over. We had the gold ring scam done to us today. We were alone on a quiet street and this old guy came up from behind us. I said non but my girlfriend stopped and started talking to him. I yelled at her and she snapped out of her haze. Just admiring beautiful buildings on a sunny day.

Yeh security must be intense at places like Louvre. Good. Do bus tours have to wait in same security line?

If you haven't done so already see a ballet at the Palais Garnier, an Opera at the Bastille, and attend an art auction :)

Pal, I think they are in a different line. I was watching a guide yesterday herd her group. The new wall is some sort of clear material. Probably bulletproof.

Yeh group tours got to get priority treatment.
