Paris crowds now, Oct. 2021

I was watching Livestream Paris on Fri. Night Oct. 16 and Sat. Night Oct. 17. As it was the weekend nights and the weather looked beautiful, the streets in the tourist areas seemed really crowded, every outside table
in the cafes filled.
Is it back to business as usual in my favorite city?

Is anyone in Paris now who can comment on the crowds? On the videos it seemed to be a bit overwhelming.

The crowds are not overwhelming. However, I suspect that they might be a bit bigger than a "normal" October in tourist areas due to the backlog of people who were waiting to rush to Paris.

I am in Paris now and I can say that there are many people out and about.....they appear to be locals, though I hear other languages spoken. All the cafes and bistros are filled...weather has been really wonderful and it feels as if Paris is outside celebrating the day.

Thanks for the responses. Wish we were there, even with the crowds filling our favorite places.
