Paris Christmas markets

The list is accurate, but the Christmas markets are certainly not "secrets".
The La Défense market is considered to be the best, but people are pretty happy with the Champs Elysées market, too, because it filled an empty place in the city.

We just came back from Paris (a weekend) and have been to both markets.
We liked the La Defence better. It may have been lacking something in spirit and exuberance as compared to its German counterparts, but it was very nicely organized, with many eye-catching craftsmen stalls and plenty of wares of all kinds.
The one at Champs Elysees market is more touristy with even more people.

I received a newsletter from Hotel Minerve announcing the Christmas Market at Place Saint Sulpice on December 10-24. They will have village like stalls selling handcrafted items and regional foods. That is the one I'm going to visit as I like being in that neighborhood. Besides, it is a stone throw from my favorite Pierre Herme boutique which thankfully has a lot shorter lines since PH opened his flagship boutique on rue Cambon!
