Paris CDG Transfer - 2E to 2F
Hi -
I have a fairly tight connection at CDG next month. AF from Washington to Paris arrives at Terminal 2E, and then my next AF flight to Toulouse departs from Terminal 2F. How quick and easy is this connection? I am not getting a very clear picture from the various online CDG maps. Many thanks - Rob |
Robertino,
You may find some helpful information by clicking on my name and looking for a thread titled "Connection at CDG...almost afraid to ask!" Good luck!!! |
connection can be made at CDG easily and with min turn around time. We have done a 45 min chage on AF from Boston and then on ward to Nice. Go down stairs and use the transfer bus. It runs frequently and saves some running. Look in the AF magazine(on the plane) for a map of the airport so you have a general idea where you are headed. Good lick

Hi R,
>I have a fairly tight connection at CDG next month. < How tight is "tight"? ((I)) |
I feel like I should add that in April we also had a tight connection between these two gates (albeit we were going in the opposite direction). Due to an extremely long wait for the bus, a round about route, and the security line at the destination terminal, we almost missed our plane. In fact, if it had not been delayed by a few minutes, there is no way we would have been allowed to board. With that said, if the bus had run on time, if there was a more direct route, and if the security line moved a bit faster, it would not have been a problem.
Good luck! |
Thanks to all for your help.
The map of the airport seems to indicate that 2E and 2F are adjacent, or opposite one another, so that no bus is necessary. Is that not correct? To Ira - I am embarrassed to say how tight tight is, especially for CDG. A little over an hour. |
"<i>connection can be made at CDG easily and with min turn around time. We have done a 45 min cha[n]ge</i>" Of course it can - but it can also be totally impossible. All depends . . . .
robertino: Don't sweat it. <u>As long as it is one booking</u>, if you miss your connection AF will put you on the next available flight. There isn't much you can do if 1) your flight lands late, 2) if your plane has to wait for a gate, 3) if they have to park out on the tarmac and you have to bus to the terminal -- or anything else. You'll probably be fine - but if not, AF will get you on a plane . . . . . |
