PARIS - CDG to Arc De Triumph
This summer I plan to go from CDG to the Eifel Tower. I am looking to take the Air France bus number 2 to Arc de Triumph and then walk to the Eifel Tower.
How much are the bus tickets for adult and also children? Can I buy then online? What is the walking distance from the Arc to the Tower? Can I check the bus schedule online? Is the Arc the end of the line for AF bus number 2? Thank you. |
The Eiffel Tower is on the opposite side of the Seine from the Arc - about a mile and a quarter away. (depending on where the bus leaves you - I don;t think it's the Arc - I think it stops at the convention Center area - several blocks away.) I certainly hope you don;t plan on doing this with luggage.

The bus goes to avenue Carnot, next to the Arc de Triomphe. The Eiffel Tower is 2km away, direct route on avenue Kléber, on the other side of the Arc from avenue Carnot.
All of the information is on the Air France site: The bus runs from CDG from 6:00 to 23:00. It runs every 20 minutes. The fare is 15€ or 7.50€ for children from age 2 to 11. You get the tickets from the driver. |
Here's the information about the Air France bus to Etoile (Arc de Triomphe), schedule, fares, etc.
http://www.aeroportsdeparis.fr/ADP/e...air-france.htm Etoile is the end of the line for AF bus number 2. We did this quite awhile ago, but I'm thinking we just paid the driver. By the way, this type of bus, in France, is called a "car". GG |
It would be much easier to take the Air France bus to Porte Maillot (first stop), and then take the RER C to Champs de Mars which is the stop for the Eiffel Tower.
The RER station is right across the street from where the airport bus drops you off. |
Take the Air France Coach to the Arc. Proceed clockwise to the first street past the Champs Elysses, Avenue Marceau, and board the 92 bus. Drivers sell tickets. Get off at the first stop past the Seine.

I love it when somebody asks about walking, and one person says to transfer to the RER and another says to take a bus. No, actually, I hate it.

Walking...the easiest to do!--read kerouac !!!
We took AirFrance "bus" -Arc de Triomphe--walked to Pont d' Alma & across into the Eiffel Tower area...it felt GREAT to get some fresh air and stretch our legs after a long flight....why do you want to lug suitcases into a bus or the RER.....just roll away down the street.....unless you have LOTS of suitcases......then get a CAB to take you to your location. |
