Paris Catacombs question

We will be in Paris for a few days in September and one of my must-see spots is the catacombs. I’m a bit perplexed by my booking options and advice that I should get skip-the-line tickets to avoid standing in line for hours with a regular ticket. Possibly this has changed with their COVID-era timed entry tickets.

My questions:

- Are the tickets sold on the main catacombs website the regular tickets where one still needs to wait in line for long periods?

- Is there a particular tour company that offers the skip-the-line tickets? I see various companies offering this option with a guided tour. We wouldn’t necessarily be averse to this option but want to pick a reputable company.

Any advice so I can avoid spending precious Paris time standing in a line?

Thanks!

I'd suggest going to their website: https://www.catacombes.paris.fr/en
It appears that you can ONLY buy tickets on line, and they are timed entry. You won't have a line issue with timed entry.

If you have a timed ticket, the wait is not long.

Thanks for the information - sounds like the timed tickets from the official site is the only option (i.e. there is no line to skip).
