I was wondering if anyone out there had taken a boat cruise in Paris and had any that they loved - or hated! I've heard that an evening cruise might be better. Are the dinner or lunch cruises worth it? What are the costs? and where do you board from? Lots of questions, I hope you can help me, we leave tomorrow - can't wait.

jbeez, read Marcy's trip report, written last week. She describes the evening cruise she took. I think it was the Vedette line (www.vedettesdupontneuf.com). You can get an internet discount if you visit their site, I know.

My friend and I got stranded in Paris for one night on the way back from Istanbul. What a horrible shame!! Air France put us up for the night and gave us meal vouchers. My friend had not been to Paris. I wanted her to see a lot that evening. We picked a Cityrama Illuminations and Seine cruise. We went around the whole city in a bus and saw all the major sights by night with a taped commentary, then after the bus tour a cruise down the Seine with all the bridges etc in lights. It was spectacular. We both loved it. I had been to Paris several times but had not done a night tour. I am going with another friend in Oct. who has never been to Paris. I have booked this for our first night. It is 34 euros for the combo. I highly recommend it.
