Paris Bercy - that's not a train station is it?!!
I bought overnight train tickets from Venice to Paris on RailEurope.com, and received the confirmation email and tickets. BOTH say I am arriving at Paris Bercy - but that's not a train station, is it? It's certainly not one I've ever heard of...and I thought Bercy was a concert venue...but I don't know Paris that well. Could someone who does provide any thoughts as to what this might mean, and what station I will be arriving into? Thanks!

There's a nice map of the Gare de Lyon/Bercy neighborhood at
http://www.ratp.info/orienter/plan_telech_quartiers.php
Click the first pulldown, select Bercy and OK. The station is at the bottom right, across from the park.

Thanks! I was confused because I googled "Gare Paris Bercy" and came up with a lot of hotel listings but no website for any station...so I thought it had to be a mistake. Any idea if the station has a website?

Train stations in France don't have their own web sites. There is one website for the French rail system, www.sncf.com

I guess I just want a) a confirmation that it's really a train station, and b) to know exactly where it is and what metro to take! Not that I don't believe our friends barbmike and Robespierre, but it seems really, really odd to me that I haven't found any information about it through google! I think I have enough responses from trusted fodorites that a) is taken care of...but specifics in response to b) would be helpful. Thanks all!

I take your question to mean "How far is the Bercy Métro stop from the train station?"
See where Ligne 6 comes across the river? The Métro station is right there at the intersection of Boulevard de Bercy and Rue de Bercy. The SNCF station is a 7-iron to the southeast.

You get more "train-like" hits if you google "Gare de Paris Bercy" or the address itself. Here's a good one:

It's a miserable station used by the overnight trains to and from Italy. There is a kiosk where you can buy snacks and a waiting room. Upstairs, there is a lounge with free coffee and newspapers which can be used by passengers with sleeping car reservations. If you're arriving, you'll want to move on straight away. Outside the station, there is a taxi rank and an escalator down to street level from where it's a short walk (signposted) to the entrance to the metro station. It's on two metro lines including the swish new line 14.
