Paris - Bee Shuttle - Is my math correct?
Yes...sigh...yet another question about shuttles...
We've pretty well decided on taking a shuttle from Orly to Centre of Paris because there are 5 of us and even if we travel light, there will still be a lot of bags, never mind the 3 tired kids! According to the Bee Shuttle website www.bee-shuttle.com Regular fare 17 per person + 8 for child = 76 1st class (2 stops max) 15 per person + 4 for child = 64 Private Transfer 4 to 6 persons = 90 Am I understanding the website correctly...1st class works out cheaper than regular? How many stops do the shuttles "usually" make? Thanks for your help :) |
I would say the "1st class" is a bit cheaper because of your group size - the minimum size is 5 to qualify for 15€. With the regular rate, the minimum size is 2 to it costs more. The number of stops is completely related to how many 'entities' are on board; could be 8 stops if there are 8 single travelers all going to different hotels, or it could be 1 stop if a large family were all going to one hotel.
|
Of course! You're right Travelnut, there are 5 of us on an 8-seater bus so the regular rate could be max 4 stops. 1st class would be max 2 stops.
And 64€ is a bit more than a regular taxi, but I couldn't figure out the cost of a larger taxi. Someone (was it you?) posted the website www.infotaxiparis.com which said regular fare is 25 to 30 during the day. |
Orly is a fair bit closer to Paris than is CDG, but I'm not sure how you would come out cost-wise using a taxi...

I don't mind using a taxi but with 5 of us we might have a long wait for a larger taxi.
It's really all "six of one half a dozen of the other" isn't it! |
