Paris apartments?
 

Anyone out there with recent experience in renting a small apartment in Paris? All suggestions/web sites/emails gratefully received from travelin' Fodorites. Thanks, Terry.

We have rented an apartment in Paris from Paris Sejour Reservation for this October for a week. So far all contact and transactions have been fine. If you decide to rent from them and find an apartment you like I suggest you book early we started in May and 2 of the 3 apartments we liked were already booked. Bonjour Paris (www.bparis.com) has a studio apt. listed in their classified section. I've heard from others that it's nice, very reasonable, and in a good location.

<BR>We have rented three times with Chez Vous (based in Sausalito, CA). Twice on the Ile St. Louis (2 different apartments) and once on the Rue St. Dominique. All three apartments were wonderful, and Chez Vous was very attentive when we had some minor problems with heating units. Their website is chezvous.com <BR> <BR>They have many apartments in several arondissements in a wide range of sizes and prices. We've been very pleased with their service. <BR> <BR>Nothing like looking out over the Seine at 5:00 AM with a cup of tea (made in your own kitchen) and watching the early morning barges go by, followed shortly by a beautiful pink sky as the sun comes up. Apartments are a great way to enjoy Paris.

My fiance and I have rented an apartment overlooking the Seine on the Ile St Louis through vacationspot.com. We are going in October, but so far, everything has gone very smoothly. The owner of the apartment has been wonderful.

I just discovered a site called globalhomenetwork.com, which appears to be a reincarnated version of the Citadines apartment/hotel group. They have dozens of listings -- apparently older apartments converted for hotel use -- in London, Paris, Prague and many other cities throughout Europe. Rates vary widely - from not much over $100 to in excess of $500 per night, depending on location and level of comfort.
