Paris apartments

Thank you to everyone that answered my other post.

Looking at hotels in paris, we are coming to the conclusion that an apartment may be better for our family of 4. Some of the hotels were a little to basic for us or out of our price range. Looking at apartments it seems we can get a great one for less then what a quad room or 2 hotel rooms would cost. It seems that to get two rooms in a hotel we would have to split up as I didn't see any connecting rooms available

If anyone would like to share their favorite and not so favorite (so we know what to stay away from) apartments in Paris, we would love to hear about them.

WE just returned from Paris. We rented from Vacation in Paris.com. They were great. The apartment we had was called the louvre Loft. If your children are not teenagers the apartment would suit your needs. Also check out the apartments they have in the 7th as I think that might be a better neighborhood for kids

Another recommendation for vacationinparis.com, whose services we used just last month.

Was very satisfied with both the apartment and the rental agency (which is based in New Jersey). Plus, payment is in dollars, not the ever escalating euro.

If you can't decide on one of their offerings, try vrbo.com (vacation rentals by owner).

We rented through Rentparis.com. I would be inclined to check out other rentals before renting through them again. Check out vrbo.com. There appear to be some very nice ones. Friends rented through them and took their tenn-aged son along. They all loved the place. I'll check back through me e-mails and see if I can find the rental#.

you could look at this one at vrbo.com

i can't vouch for it, but we'll be there for a week next spring. good layout for our family. the marais should be fun for all, and there's a parc nearby (the beautiful place des vosges).

have fun!

Pam,

Is there a particular reason why you're not renting thru Rentparis again? Didn't you like their apartments or was there a problem with the services. We are renting with them this Dec that's why I am interested to know. Thanks.

I rented (as did friends) from rentparis.com and were completely satisfied. After checking so many rental prices, their's was the best. I had a cell phone number to call if needed which I think is very important. Got very prompt response when a fuse blew. I would deinitely rent from them again. Other sources were so much higher. Just depends on how much you want to spend.

We rented - from an American owner which made the arrangements quite simple - the property online at http://www.paris-vacation-rental.com/neighbor2.html and were quite pleased. Nice place in a quiet location convenient to at least two Metro stops, out of the tourist fray but close to everything we wanted to do. Definitely would rent this one again.

If you don't mind not being in the center of town, I would recommend this apartment from vrbo.com.

It just oustide the periphique, near the Bois de Vincennes. It is on Metro line #1, and a 10 minute ride to the center.

I thought it was a great deal for our family of four (including two large teenage boys) at only $100 U.S. per night. Plus it is close to the Palais Omnisports where we will be attending an event.

We are not going until next summer, so can't comment on the place, but read the Comments; they are great.

We rented from http://www.parisperfect.com/ in the Spring and the apartment was wonderful, perfect for a family of four.
