I have just rented an apartment for next April through www.vrbo.com. (vrbo:vacation rentals by owner) You might want to check them out. Another good site is www.regencyvillas.com. Hope this helps.

We have rented apartments in Paris and Avignon from www.francehomestyle.com

We have really liked the apartments--they have seen all the properties they rent and have representatives meet you when you arrive. The apartment in Paris was wonderful, in a great location, but too small for your group. Check out their website.

I have just gone through a similar process & I will share the places that have been strongly suggested on here: Panacherentals.com is who I ended up with. I will top my prior post. Paris Perfect seems to be a favorite as well. The title of my posts asks about a company out of Sausalito, Ca.

Greetings,

I ran across this article by Georgia Hesse several months ago which appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle.

She describes her stay in an apartment located a quaint Paris neighborhood.

It makes for interesting reading, especially for those who might be interested in renting an apartment, as opposed to a hotel stay. It gives one a good feeling of what life is like renting your own apartment in the heart of Paris.

The article is available at the following link:

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/chronicle/archive/2002/07/28/TR21453.DTL

rjs
We used an agency called PSR and were happy with their services. We found a whole bunch of them at www.anamericaninparis.com and chose this one which happened to have the location we wanted. There are lots of them so you have to do a lot of calling but you should be able to find the location you're looking for.

We stayed at Citadines Apartments on Blvd Haussmann in 2000.
2 Adults + 2 children.
Easy walk down to Champs-Elysees on our first afternoon landed us quite close to the Arc de Triomphe end.

We stayed at a nice flat in September right off the Champs Elysees (by right off I mean look out the door and there's the Arc). We rented from a really nice and honest guy named Philippe who we found on vrbo.com. I highly recommend this place if you like this area. It won't likely accomodate all of you (two beds, one comfy couch), but it's worth looking into. Philippe used to live in the flat, so it's really well equipped and he supplied us with an extensive map of different bakeries, groceries, markets in the area. I've been meaning to write a post about our trip, but haven't gotten around to it yet. It was the first time we used vrbo and it turned out to be just great. Anyway, here's the link to his flat: http://www.vrbo.com/14768
