Paris apartment recommendations in 6th Arr.?

I'm looking for your apartment reviews of places you've actually stayed at in the 6th Arr. in the past few years. I'm familiar with the many web sites and have done a little narrowing down, but I'm interested in your experiences.

We're trying to keep it under $220 per night, and we don't need nor want luxury - we actually prefer cheaper, up to a point. There are 4 of us: me, wifey, 2 kids 8 & 10. Imperial fiat requires that it be in the 6th - no further questions on that (although I'd consider suggestions in the 7th, and then try to do some arm-twisting...) Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Too specific, right?

Suggest you visit slowtrav.com which is dedicated to apartment renters and has dozens of user reviews.

no, I don't think it's too specific if that's what you want -- makes it much more useful so folks don't talk about irrelevant things. I just don't know any because I haven't ever rented one for that many people, and don't rent in the 6th. But, I think some folks have, it's just that is a small set (I think most folks on here usually rent apts for 2 or maybe 3), apts for 4 under US$220 and the 6th arr.

You may have already looked there, but on www.vrbo.com you can sort by arrondissement, and there are a couple places that look like they meeet your criteria.

We dealt with Pascal and he was just fine. Excellent English, easy to reach via telephone.

I've used the service of lodgis.com a couple of times, they have a good search engine.
