Paris Apartment Question

Our family of four is debating between two apartments for our July stay in Paris. Paris Perfect - Bordeaux, and Parisian Flats - Rue Vavin. Has anyone stayed in either of these? I know both agencies get very positive reviews from Fodorites.

I don't think Paris Perfect has a Bordeaux..not on the current website.

If you are talking about July, 2008, you had better check availability first..I looked at Parisian Flat and only a few open days there in July.

I am very familiar with both places. I rented from both places in April of this year. Parisian Flat when I had granddaughter and her husband join me and when they left I moved to the parisperfect.com apartment in my favorite arrondissement, the 7th.

I have PP apartments rented for a month mid Sept - mid Oct and mid April to mid May, 2009. ALL PP have A/C..in July you will want it. I don't think there are any who have the amenities and total care that they provide.

Enjoy..........

Yes, there is a Bordeaux. I have now seen it. It has not been put on the website, yet.

To answer your original query...I would definitely choose the parisperfect.com Bordeaux!!

Bordeaux is a 2 floor apt. with a circular staircase and entrances from both the 5th & 6th floors. It is located on rue St, Dominique at the intersection of Ave.'s Rapp and de la Bourdonnais. This was ParisPerfect's 1st apt. as Philippe lived on one level when he was in med. school. They bought the other level when it became available and converted it into a large 2 story apt. with a big, modern kitchen. It is rented often by return guests for long stays. There is a usable balcony with a table and chairs on the 5th floor. We stayed about 6 months over a 3 year period across the hall from Bordeaux and I can't speak too highly of the service we received from this group.

Hi Jim,

Madelyn sent me the new website for the Bordeaux. It has been completely remodeled now and she has not had time to get it on the site, yet. You will probably enjoy seeing the changes that have been made to it since your early knowledge of it.

AtlDad..Laidback has had a long time relationship with Paris Perfect.

We've stayed three times with Paris Perfect. The Rapp/Bourdonnais/Saint-Dominique location is magnificent. For one thing, you are within steps of half a dozen or more bus routes to all over. We much prefer the buses to the metro.

Food shopping in the area is terrific. There's a grocery store across the street, along with a delightful boulangerie/patisserie with wonderful sandwiches, quiche, breads, salads, desserts, for take-away, and Richard's coffee. Almost next door is a chicken rotisserie with incredible sides (potatoes!). The neighborhood is chock full of food shops, moderately priced restaurants, cafes, and all those quintessential Parisian boutiques.

Of course, the views of the Tour Eiffel are awesome!

"Our" apartment was completely redone ahead of our last stay - amazing!

PS All the Paris Perfect apartments have air conditioning.

Thanks all. I have emailed Paris Perfect to make the reservation.

AtlDad,

I know you will be pleased with your decision.

It is a wonderful location, with everything you could want nearby.

Enjoy the rest of your planning. Just ask if you need help with anything else.

Joan
