Paris Apartment help

Has anyone stayed here?
www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p350342

I found this apt in MARAIS area and can't seem to find any reviews outside homeaway.com. It has good reviews there but I read that they only publish good reviews and do not publish bad reviews. Has anyone rented from Laurence? She also has this website http://www.merriquin.com/

She also have another propert on VBRO with good reviews. http://www.vrbo.com/495762ha.

I am not sure how reliable VBRO reviews are.

Thanks.

I am not familiar with the apartment you have posted, but I did stay in a great apartment in the 1st:

The location is very convenient, within walking distance to the Louvre and other sites of Paris. I would highly recommend contacting Christine, she lives in NYC and is a pleasure to deal with.

I was interested in the other apartment in the Marais for October, I sent her a couple of emails several weeks ago but never received a response from her. Also the www.merriquin.com website is offline now. Did you have any contact with her?

Those are both really nice, reasonably priced apartments. The website seems to be working for me.

And now it is working for me too. I was quite disappointed when I never got a response from the owner because I really liked the apartment, and it was reasonably priced.

We have already rented with Laurence, her apartments are advertised on HomeAway and VRBO, this is the second time actually, last year we were staying in one of her apartment (the Quincampoix apartment) and this year in the second one. Both are very nice, well equipped and clean, and most importantly, both apartments are very well located in the center of the city. The apartment we were staying at this year had an elevator and we appreciated it! And I agree with you this is reasonably priced.

You mentioned that on homeaway they publish only good reviews, but I am not so sure. I have already read quite bad reviews about other owners.

Laurence is a perfect landlady, speaks good English, very helpful and reliable, this is exactly the kind of person you are hoping to meet when you arrive in a foreign country (it was our first trip to Paris last year and we fell in love with the city). I had no problem getting in touch with her but maybe it was also because the apartment was available for my dates. I would have no hesitation in recommending her to you.

For JSrand...please note Mary above doing the promotion for the apartment joined just today to come here and tell you all about the apartment. My guess is Mary may be the owner or associated financially in some way. Very suspicious. I would find another apartment. I have rented from Homeaway etc. and while they might publish a negative review (rarely) there is a way that the apartment owner can get it off. It is buyer beware.
