Paris Apartment

Has anyone stayed here or booked thru this owner. I'm considering it for a Nov trip. www.vrbo.com:80/123310

it doesn't say what floor it is on and it is smoking apartment if that bothers you.

I have not stayed there though. Just pointing out two things that may be an issue.

Will it be for 2 people or 4 people ? Quite honestly, I can't imagine putting 4 people in that apartment - the "sofa" in the 'living room' is a foldout futon shoved in the corner. There is a nice table, but that isn't comfortable to 'chill' at. The bedroom is incredibly small with the bed against the wall on one side and no closet -- a freestanding rack with hangers. Seems very 'utilitarian' but in a cheap way, not a decorating style way.

Clearly, wouldn't be my first choice, but I don't know your budget and desires...

We just stayed here in April: http://www.homerentalconnections.com...67&code=14

It's a very cute studio in the 6th (on Rue Dauphine). Small and compact - has good shower, full kitchen, washing machine, and great location. The company (Home Rental Connections) was a pleasure to deal with.

Have dealt with VRBO.com and had great service--would use them again. Also have had good service from FranceforRent.com and would use them again.

Having an apartment in Paris is one of the finer things in life.

My husband and I have also had good luck with vrbo during vacations in a variety of cities. Our favorite apartment in Paris is a very elegant one near the Musee d'Orsay. The owner was a delight to deal with and his website is www.wewillalwayshaveparis.net
Good Hunting!

I decided on this one in the 18th. Thanks for pointing out the smoking on the vrbo apartment. that wouldn't work for me.
The Apartment I normally rent was sold. So I had to look for a new one. I think the location is great!
This one was paid in US dollars which was a plus.
Thanks

I have had a favorable experience with Paris Address (www.parisaddress.com). They ask only for 25% deposit and allow one to cancel up to two months prior to arrival with full refund less an admin. fee. Other agencies ask for agency fees in addition to hefty desposits. Also Paris Address reveals the apartment's address, provides a summary of the apartment and its location, and allows one to see real time availability.

Does anyone else have experience with Home Rental Connections? I'm looking at renting the same St Dominique apartment in October. Miriam, anything you can share about the apartment, the rental agency, the neighborhood?

Thanks so much!

Hi,
if you look for apartment to rent in paris, do not forget to check at www.lodgis.com which has a huge offers in Paris.
When I first moved from rome to paris some years ago (4), it really helped me. They are real estate managers, not a simply website collecting offers, so their prices may be more expensive than those of the owners but they manage everything and i've never had a problem with them.
