Paris: anyone stay at this hotel?

We have another trip to Paris coming up this year and have booked one of the larger rooms at Le Grand Hôtel Cayré on Blvd Raspail. Anyone stay there recently? For years, I walked by it when it was the K&K Hotel Cayré, but never stayed there. Now that it's under new ownership and has been renovated, we decided to give it a shot. Just curious to know if anyone else has tried it (post renovation) -- we haven't seen any mention of it here. We also plan to dine at their restaurant -- it's gotten good reviews -- and see what their cocktail bar is like.

Thanks!

nope, but it looks very nice. I like being a little more off the beaten track. That was a major hotspot for the taxi driver protests a few weeks ago because it's right near the Ministry of Transport building. they set a car on fire, also. they protest there a lot, they did it in March 2023 when it was the pension reform issue, also, as well as several other wellknown protest points. . They get pretty violent in France during such protests. Black Bloc anarchists incite that. the Transport Ministry is just around the corner on bd St Germain (to the West, past Deyrolles). It's inside the Ministry to Transition Ecologique building.

I hope they don't have protests during your stay there.

We know this area very well (and have been to Paris more than 100 times), so not too worried.
