If you want to really *experience* Paris then you should politely decline your relatives offer of free accommodation and stay in Paris. Euro Disney is not Paris and their proclamations of driving into Paris being great are due to rationalizing their timeshare purchase. Subtract the amounts for car hire, petrol, parking, time lost driving back and forth (1.5 hours each day, minimum), huge amounts of hassle (driving in Paris is awful!!!), lack of seeing Paris at night etc, and renting a small apartment *in* Paris all of a sudden becomes quite cost effective, and desirable. Don't short change your holiday to help someone else justify a poor investment!
