Paris and Nice weather in EarlySeptember

What kind of weather can I expect to find in Early September in Nice and Paris?

Hi S,

Mild, pleasant and perfect.

Hot and humid.

Chilly and damp.

All of the above.

A good source for climate information is www.weatherbase.com.

Ira's not poking fun at you suezq, the weather really has been that tempermental, these last few years. I think last year was the coldest August in France in general on record. We were down South last September and the weather was just right--we didn't have to retire to the pool or room in self-defense once.

If you follow the posts closer to your trip, or repost this thread a week before you leave you might have the best shot at being close.

I'd expect cool to warm ams, hot pms, and cool to cold nights where you need a wrap of some kind. We always bring an umbrella no matter the season.

Oh, and if you don't get AC you'll definitely need it...you know how that goes!

July 2007:

Paris - Cool
Normandy - Very very cold
South of France - Very hot, over 100 degrees

I've been in Paris in early September a number of times. From a weather perspective, it's a good time to go. It is however the peak of the tourist season so book early.
