Anna,

I really have no idea. This was our first experience at the Louvre so I thought it was normal. It was crazy so I hope that next time it is not as bad.

I love your report, especially how your daughters began their journals. :)

Wow, I am so impressed that you took the kids on the RER after that crazy series of flights, lost luggage, ticket buying at CDG, etc. My hat is off to you, Madame.

Looking forward to more!

Two thoughts - 1. the above comment by thin "why did it take 45 min to find the socks in Gal. Lafayette?" comes across as very snooty. Because, dude, men don't do well in department stores in general, especially in one where all the words mean the oppostie of what you think they mean. I took my family to Gal. Lafayette on our trip two years ago, me, DW, and four daughters, and we couldn't get out of there fast enough. NOT the high point of our trip, that's for sure.

2. Sorry about the bad experience on the RER from CDG, it is most unfortuneate, given the number of non-French speaking people who use the RER, that they couldn't make the RER a bit more tourist friendly. Yes, that may come across as being snooty, too, but just that stretch from CDG to downtown would make life much easier for so many folks who are getting their first impression of life in Paris.
