Paris-Amsterdam Itinerary for Mother-Daughter Trip

My daughter and I are going on a long-awaited trip to Europe this summer. She will be a senior next year, and her school (EF Tours) is doing a mother-daughter trip. Hoping for some help with specific itinerary suggestions as this is our first trip to Europe! We are trying to see a little bit before we join our tour group.

Our proposed itinerary:

(Staying at Acte V, in Paris for four nights. )

Fri. July 26 - Arrive in Paris about noon. No specific plans for this day; I know between the jet lag and getting settled into our room we probably won't have stamina to do much, maybe we can walk around close to the hotel and get in a couple of sites or take an evening stroll after a nap!
Sat July 27 - I would like to surprise my daughter with a tour in the paris 2CV - maybe a 2 hour excursion.

Is this worth the $$? Also this day we would try to see as many of the major sites as we can; making sure we see Notre Dame. Hoping to start at a central location and see as much as possible. Also want to try to fit in a night tour (see the wonderful lights) and get in a river cruise. We have both decided that a trip to the Eiffel Tower is not necessary, due to the lines and amount of time it would take.
Sun. July 28 - Versailles. This is a must for my daughter; I know this is one of the busier days but best one for our time frame, I think. Planning to spend entire day and see as much as we can; probably getting the Paris Museum passport for use throughout trip to avoid lines where we can. I think (from what I have read on this forum) that we will go on our own, and tour at our own pace rather than a guided tour.
Mon. July 29 - More Paris sightseeing. Trying to fit in Luxemborg Gardens, and possibly a picnic there as well as some time just people watching & walking. Not sure to try for walking tour or hop on hop off bus tour?
Tues. July 30 - Take the Thalys train from Paris to Amsterdam. Haven't booked this yet, but planning to get a mid-morning train and arrive late afternoon, check into hotel, and try to fit in a tour of Anne Frank Museum, the Red Light District Tour and a canal tour. Stay somewhere central.
Wed. July 31 - Finish our sight seeing list in Amsterdam, and then head on easy jet flight (as late as we can) to Milan, where we meet up with the rest of our tour beginning August 1 for a tour that includes Cingue Terre, southern France, and Barcelona.

I know that it is going to be lots of travelling, but my daughter would like to see Amsterdam and experience a train trip while we are there. Any suggestions are so much appreciated!

The website for that tour doesn't make clear if there is a chauffeur. I can't imagine paying to drive myself through Paris traffic, in a Citroen or anything else.
Buy your train ticket as soon as you can in hopes of saving some money.
You can go on-line and see a variety of Versailles admissions available in advance rather than buying a pass for multiple places: http://billetterie.chateauversailles...-lgen-pg1.html
To buy from abroad you should enter a French post code 7800.
Across from the Eiffel Tower, climb up through the ornamental garden to the Trocadero to get a stunning view of the Eiffel.

Skip the red light district tour. I can't imagine why anyone, let alone a mother and daughter wants to do that.
Book your tickets for Anne Frankhuis online to save queuing for ages.
Actually I wonder if its worth the expense of moving to Amsterdam for less than a day there. Maybe you would be better off staying in Paris and flying to Rome from there.
You may not get cheap Thalys tickets, nor cheap Easyjet tickets now for those dates anyway.,
