Paris airport and transportation
I would like to make a reservation for lunch on my day of arrival in Paris, but I am not sure how much time I will need to allow to get from the airport to my hotel.
If my flight lands at 9:10 AM on a Friday, approximately what time should I expect to arrive at my hotel on rue Scribe in the 9th? Would a 1:00 PM reservation allow enough time to get to the hotel, get cleaned up and changed, and then get to the restaurant in the 16th (close to the 7th)? Thanks for your input! |
You should have plenty of time for a 1:00 PM reservation.
The big question, however is, will you be able to check into your room as early as you want to! Sometimes, it's only as from 2:00 PM. Better check with your hotel. |
I suspect if you cannot get into your hotel room the hotel will gladly store your luggage for you...most all of them will.

Perhaps you know this, but the bus on your street, #42, has a very senic route. Check the bus stop sign or search here: http://www.citefutee.com/orienter/bus.php Also Rue Scribe is where you'll find Paris Story [next door to the American Express], which plays hourly on the hour. This is a very clever multimedia show all about the history of Paris. |
Unless something unusual happens, you should get there by 11 am latest. That's assuming you get out of CDG by 10. Guess you know there is the airport Roissybus that goes directly to rue Scribe and is pretty cheap -- it's made for the airport so luggage is no problem. I think the reference about the hotel was that if you can't check in, you cannot easily change and clean up.
