Paris Advice
Some feedback please on this plan:
Day 1: Land @ CDG & be at hotel in 1st by noon. Walk/ride/boat to ET & then use same transportation to get to the Arc, then slow walk down Champs to Place de Concord.
Day 2: Use hop-on bus/boat pass to get lay of the land in the morning, visit Isle de Citi in afternoon & do deOrsy in the evening (Thursday).
Day 3: Montmarte in the morning, Lourve in afternoon & into the evening (Friday & it is open late). Maybe evening cruise on Seine.
Day 4: Left Bank most of day. Catch late afternoon train to Bayeux.
Day 5: Battlebus tour of Normandy Beaches, then train back to Paris.
Day 6: St Germain
Thanks for the feed back.

Bear, on the day you explore 'Left Bank' just include some St Germain exploration there... Then you can go see the Marais* in the spot where you had St Germain (or at least split day 6 and add the Marais)...

Sounds pretty good, but I wouldn't use any boat pass to get the lay of the land (assume you mean Batobus?). It's only on the river, of course, so you can't get any feel for the city as a whole from there, and you can't get to the Arc using that boat as the Arc isn't on the river. I assume maybe that's what you mean on Day 1, but it's too expensive to just use it for part of a day IMO, even if you could get to the Arc with it (which you can't). It stops near the bridge going to the Petit Palais, I think, on the river.
You could actually just walk between the Eiffel Tower and the Arc fairly easily, and enjoy walking across the river, and seeing the 16th quarter. In fact, if you walked over the bridge nearest the tower, you'd be right at the Trocadero which is an amazing view. It's not much farther walking from the tower than it would be from the boat dock near the Petit Palais, probably. Or, you could walk from the tower down the river just a bit (east) to Pont de l'Alma, and catch the bus no. 92 which goes right to the Arc.

Thanks for the quick reply. Experence is a rich gift.
To clearify, I plan to get a 3 day Bus/Boat Pass to move around the city. I refer to comments re you can't see anything from the Metro. I think the Hop-On/Hop-Off will get me where I want to start my day & move me from one site to the second. Although it is my second visit, it is my wife's first & we have decided that slow & easy & assume we will come back will be our MO. I will also get a M-Pass to get past lines.
What about "late nite" meals after visits to the Lourve & deOrsy for the evening openings? I do understand that "late" is relative & that they eat later in Paris. We will be staying in the 1st, near the Lourve.
Again, thanks for the feed back.

How long is your flight? Is it an overnight flight?
That seems like A LOT of walking for the first day if you are on an overnight flight.
We had an overnight flight from US. We planned to do a similar thing and we were so tired we started getting sick from lack of sleep. Had to rearrange our entire schedule!
If you want just an "overview" of the city, you might try looking into Paris Vision tours. They have hop on/off tours as well as just a 2hour tour around the city. We did the 2hour tour and then went back later to explore.
