Slightly better software (which "runs" this forum) would have removed the twenty-plus blank carriage returns you seem to have put at the end of your question, Mr. Bill.

It may put a lot of people off - - and you might want to simply re-post the question.

The cheapest might be www.easyjet.com - - but it all depends on from where (specifically) in London to where (specifically) in Paris. the cost of getting to (and from) the airport(s) can eat up the modest savings of the train. And the time savings can be a little or non-existent flying versus the train.

Train fares on the Eurostar between London and Paris are somewhat complicated by dozens of different promotional deals - - with various restrictions on them. The standard fare is surprisingly expensive (by some people's standards, at least) - - but the discounts can make it pretty affordable.

For "student-class" lodging options (i.e., hostels), you might find considerable experience from the kinds of folks who like to post on www.lonelyplanet.com (ThornTree) - - caters a little more to a younger backpack'n'hostel crowd (though not exclusively).

Best wishes,

Rex
Here is the first adviCe that you should have.
AdviSe is when someone gives you adviCe..to be advised,to advise.Verb.
AdviCe is what they give to you.Noun.Get some advice.Give some advice.you need advice,I will advise you.
OK?
Good.
Try putting Paris into the text search and look there first. Then you might have more specific questions.

Let's Go France is a book (see amazon.com or local book store)in a series of travel guides written by former college students about traveling inexpensively in France. Excellent advice on sights, lodging, dining, etc.

I erred in failing to mention www.buzzaway.com in addition to, or instead of easyjet.
