I am planning to go to paris in may, for a week, staying at disneyland for 4 days, and wondering where else is best to stay for the other 3 days inorder to explore paris, can anyone help me

It's rather late in the day to make reservations. Try hotels in the 4, 5 , 6 and 7th Arrondisements. You might have to go further out into the double digit neighborhoods at this late dat

Are you going with your kids? Friends? Alone? If not with kids, you really don't need 4 days at Disneyland. Paris is much more interesting.

Well, Paris, obviously. Have you done any research at all about the city itself? Most first-timers enjoy staying in the 4th, 5th, 6th, or 7th arrondissements. Today would be a good day to get a guidebook or settle down at your computer and get a basic plan in order. You also might re-think 4 days at Disneyland. Seems a shame to go all the way to one of the most beautiful, historic cities in the world and spend more than half your time on amusements you could easily do in your own country.

Don't panic if you can't get a hotel in those districts. We stayed in the 16th I think it was last summer and people on here kept saying it was too far from things yet we loved it. After visitin Paris I am convinced there isn't a bad place to stay. And the metro got us everywhere so quickly. Also, I love all things Disney so I don't want to discourage you from your plans but just wanted to let you know that we were there in August (very high season...tons of crowds) and still found that 2 days was a good amount of time. We did all of our favourite rides many times and saw most everything else. Three days would have been perfect to see everything and lots of things a few times so you might want to consider dropping one day to do more in Paris. But if you are a Disney fanatic and really want to see everything over and over then you do what you like, it's your holiday and you should do what you enjoy!

Within your 4 days at Disney, if you need an escape consider a day trip to the nearby town or Provins. Your kids (I am assuming you be with children) will enjoy walking around the lovely town, learning about the history and exploring the walls/ramparts.

zoecat - thanks for that info about Provins! We are in Paris for just on 3 weeks and so far have only planned days out of the city for Versailles, Giverny, & St.Denis. This is a very nice addition and I am grateful for your input.

Just stay in central Paris somewhere that is convenient to the metro, that's all. SOme hotels will be all booked by now, anyway, and since you don't have any preferences about it, it doesn't really matter. Just find a decent hotel at the level you desire, depending on budget (2-4* or whatever) and book it if it's in arrondisements 1-8. Some others are fine, also, that's just a rough guide.

Try priceline or booking.com and see what pops up that looks decent. If you find something you like and wonder, you can ask specifically. I just tried www.booking.com for May 20th and it came up with about 1000 hotels, 74 in St Germain alone. The Delavigne and Deux Continents are less than 200 euro a night. Also, if you find something you like, you can compare to their own website, if they have one, to see if the price differs.
