Paris 5 day itinerary in December

Hi everyone, me and my wife are visiting Paris for the first time from 23 December 2017 to 28 December 2017. We have finalized the below mentioned itinerary.

Request you inputs on the itinerary in respect of clubbing of places and utilization of time and distance between places clubbed for a day and also on the following matter:

Q1. Are there must see places that we are skipping then please suggest on which date should we do that thing.
Q2. Where should we spend out 24 Dec night in Paris. Any special Christmas place or celebration or event then please suggest.
Q3. Is the Paris pass worth buying
Q4. Where can I find veg food on 25 Dec (Since my wife eats only veg. We include eggs in veg but not meat of any kind)
Q5. Should we buy HOHO bus ticket considering the weather
Q6. Should we opt for with transport ticket to Paris
Q7. How much time does it take to explore Versailes and Lourve
Q8. Is there any place where we can go via train to enjoy snow and be back to Paris on the same day as we dont want to move our hotel just for a day or two of stay. Will it be economical and worth the time.

There is no 'must-see' anything in Paris. It's not like going to the Great Wall if you go to Beijing. It's all up to you and your interests.

You can't plan on seeing snow at that time of year unless you go deep into the mountains which is not a day trip.

I think in that amount of time, you shouldn't miss climbing the stairs of the Basilique de Sacre Couer in Montmartre. It is the highest point in Paris, and you have a great view with the Eiffel Tower IN the view and with the architecture of the basilica in front of you. The basilica is not that much to see on the inside, but the exterior is gorgeous. Also, Montmartre is a stunningly cute neighborhood and will be nice without all the summer tourist hordes. But don't eat at any of the cafes, they are all (or almost all) horrible, setup only for tourists.

How much time you spend at the Louvre depends on you. Since it is the only art museum you have listed for 5 days (!), I am guessing you are not that much into art anyway. I would take a very full day to see all of the Louvre.

You are missing walking some of the great neighborhoods of Paris. Especially the Marais. Look up a walking guide online, either the Marais (first choice) or near St Germain des pres.

L'As du Falafel is my favorite vegetarian food in Paris.

You will be in Disneyland on December 25 so just eat there.

Well, Paris is wonderful at Christmas.

Do check closing hours on Christmas Eve as things will close early in Paris on Christmas Eve. Regardless, you have too much crammed into the 24th. You need to check the websites of the museums and monuments for the holiday schedule.

You can check the Paris by Mouth website for some vegetarian restaurants they recommend.

Also from David Leibovitz:

Notre Dame will post their schedule of services for Christmas and Christmas Eve....if you are just visiting Christmas Eve may not be the best day to try to visit.

Montparnasse Tower might be nice especially at night for the city view. Not sure if you drink alcohol but if you do, cocktails in the bar would be great.

I would get to Versailles first thing to be be there when it opens.

Are you planning to go up in the Eiffel Tower? Try to book online if so to avoid long waits.

You can see Place de Le Concorde after the Champs Elysee Christmas markets...you will be right there.

Don't take a HOHO tour. Don't buy a Paris Pass.

Hey

My only suggestion would be don't pack too much in your trip that you land up just running around and not enjoying the place. Decide what you want to do and book in advance to save time when there... don't recommend HOHO or Paris Pass.. not required unless you are on a musuem visiting spree or something.

Here is a compilation of suggestions on Paris which may answer a lot of your questions - happy to help if you need further help.

I am also a vegetarian and finding Veg food in Paris is never a problem so don't worry about that
