First time to Paris.I would like recommendations for best way to travel from Charles de Gaulle airport(Air France) to Hotel California Saint Germain. Also has anyone stayed at this hotel?

I returned yesterday from Paris and used the services of Airport Shuttle (airportshuttle.fr)for traveling to and from my hotel to CDG airport. All arrangements were made through their website. I had heard about them through this site. I highly recommend them.

If there are 3 of you, I think you might opt for a taxi. The cost difference is minor and the taxi is goes to your hotel first. I have used the shuttle myself, but being only 2 of use, there were 2 other parties on the van and they got dropped off first. One stop was near la Defence, the other was somethere in the 16th. Out hotel was near Blvd Monparnasse and Blvd Raspail.

Take a taxi. It will cost about 280FF including tip and you have no hassle. Take your hotel address and maybe print out a little map to give the driver.

I have used Paris Shuttle http://www.parishuttle.com/parishuttleus.htm in the past and they were excellent. You can book online and they will pick you up. We had no problems at all.

I would definitely recommend Airport Shuttle. My husband & I used them going to & from CDG...no problems at all. They have a toll free phone # from the US if you do not want to book on line - 1-888-426-2705. Everyone there speaks English & the office manager, Mark, is extremely nice & helpful. When you call this number they will give you all the information you will need. Have a great trip!

We just returned from Paris and used Airport Connection it was 89FF per person for my husband and myself. They speak english, I made a reservation over the internet for transfer to and from our hotel in the 7th dist. Very good service I highly recommend. Any more ?'s email me. Thanks!

Gloria, the web address is already on the site, in Wendy's thread: http://www.parishuttle.com/parishuttleus.htm. We've used them too and all went well. The only drawback is that if you are second or third on the delivery route, you may spend a lot of time on the shuttle before you get to your hotel.

Betsy, no where did I glean that Paris Shuttle and Airport Connection were the same. Thanks for the clarification.

Airport Connection is different from Paris Shuttle, Airport Connection fee is 90FF per person and Paris Shuttle is 150FF per person. Airport Connection address web address is airport-connection.com.

I forgot to put Paris Shuttle is 150 FF for 1 person and for 2-5 people it is 95 FF each. Sorry!
