Paris 2 day itinerary
 

Who would be so kind to suggest a 2 day ititnerary in Paris. We have never been there and would like to see what we can of the basic highlights. We are staying on Rue Lauriston near the Arc and are doing the 3.5 hour grayline tour of the city before our cruise in Provence. When we return to Paris we have 2 full days available for sightseeing. What to do??? Thanks in advance

There is a suggested 3 day itineary in the Destinations section of this website. What to do really depends on your interests - museums, architecture, shopping, etc. that it is difficult to make suggestions for someone else. There is more than enough to do to keep you busy for 2 days! :)

Hi Fletcher,<BR> I agree with cls2paris. The 3-day tour is a good way to start your plans.<BR> Also, your grayline tour will give you a good idea of where the &quot;top spots&quot; are.<BR>

Just returned from two weeks in France but only two days in Paris. We did the &quot;red bus&quot; where you can get on and off and the pass was good for two days. Grey Line will show you the same things and I think these type of &quot;tours&quot; are great when time is of the essense. We saw everything we were supposed to see but we did not go into the museums; long lines which could have been prevented if we knew ahead of time when (and if) we would be in Paris. I loved St. Chapelle. We even squeezed in a metro trip to Pere LaChaise cemetery to pay our respects to Jim Morrison among others. The Metro can take you everywhere but just walking around and soaking up the atmosphere is the best &quot;sight seeing&quot; there is. Have a wonderful trip.

see my post on Paris Packing tips- ten days in March. I put a list at the end of my favorite things to do, you might want to check them out. I have done a one day round of the Eiffel tour, Notre Dame, Centre Pompidou-just the outside, The Louvre, the tuileries, and sacre Cour, so I know it's possible. That night you could just do a boat ride down the seine. You just need to figure out the route according to a metro map - available on a good map of paris. Also check to be sure things are open.
