I agree with Travelgirl2 - my first thought was the Arc de Triomphe at night, with the lights of the Eiffel Tower twinkling in the background. It sure would make that long climb up worth it!
January might be chilly, but I did it in late November in a long overcoat, and it wasn't so bad.
Another thought is from the steps of Sacre Coeur, overlooking the city.
Really, I'm not sure you could go wrong!

I love all these suggestions but to keep it a perfect night I might give it to her over a glass of great wine at the bar (or any bar) before dinner.
That way the nice dinner is a celebration and you can tell her all about this thread and how you planned the whole thing. She'll be beaming at you the entire time!
Then you can go back to the hotel afterward and not worry about being tired or tipsy after a long, late dinner.
