Has anyone stayed at The Ritz? We are going next week and I wondered how it is?

great hotel. we had a large room that faced place vendome. staff was helpful and friendly. the pool, bars and other public areas were top drawer all the way. enjoy your stay there.

Bit low class for my taste. I prefer Le Bristol, much nicer and better rooms. What is the Ritz getting these days for a double? Last time I stayed at Bristol it was around $800/night.

Some high end travel pros refuse to stay at the Paris Ritz because very reliable sources tell them all the rooms are bugged. Don't know if that's true. Friends recently stayed at the Meurice and were very satisfied; I'd prefer the St. James Club over in the 16th. <BR>BTilke
