Have you you google searched ? Do you have a map of Barcelona?
You can take a metro L1 or L3 to Plaça d'Espanya then walk. The following shows in details and map + metro map.

If you're at Parel.lel stop, you can just transfer for the funicular up to Parc de Montjuic.
If you're at Placa Catalunya, take the L3 metro line to Parel.lel and transfer to the funicular.

Oh sorry, I didn't realize you meant the Magic Fountain of Montjuic. I was thinking of the Fort (Fortress) Montjuic up the top of the mountain.
For the Magic Fountain, yes, you'd want the Placa Espanya stop. You can get there from Parel.lel stop by bus or the L2 line; and get there from Placa Catalunya stop by L1 line.

Thank YK.... Please tell can we first go to the top of the Monntjuic Mountain and then go to the Font Montjuic (Magic Fountain). Is it at walking distance or we will again have to take the funicular?

Motumotu, it's walking distance, assuming you don't have any mobility problems. The magic fountain is at the BASE of the hill, right below from the MNAC museum.
Montjuic is fairly large in area - so it depends on which part you're going. When we went, we didn't go up to the Fortress. Instead, we took the funicular up (from Parel.lel), then visited the Miro Fondation. Afterwards, it's about a 10-min stroll to MNAC. After visiting MNAC, we went down the hill (escalators up/down available) to the Magic Fountain. The Magic Fountain is a 5-min walk (flat terrain) from Placa Espanya.
You'll get a better sense of layout if you look at a Barcelona/Montjuic map.

Thanks Kappa 1... that means as the website is showing that the Font Montjuic is closed on tuesdays and wednesdays (our days in Barcelona), we should avoid going to Font Montjuic or there is some else to see even if it is closed..

Funicular ride is free if you're transfering from the metro (eg, you get on at Placa Catalunya station and take the metro to Parel.lel; @ Parel.lel stop, just follow the sign for funicular). If you just ride the funicular alone, it costs a metro ride fare.
