Palma De Mallorca
 

Anyone have suggestions where to stay in a 4 star hotel with a close beach, and what areas of the island Palma De Mallorca to visit. Should we rent a car and visit different beaches? Any suggestions would be a great help. Bob

You might want to re-post - you have tagged this as a trip report which indicates you have BEEN there, not asking for info when planning to GO there. :)

Just for the sake of accuracy, the island is Mallorca and Palma is the capital.

Have a look at Alcudia or Puerto Pollenca for resorts with a nice beach and good hotels. I'd certainly recommend a car to get about, as although the island is no more than an hour from any point to another, public transport is not that frequent even in the summer.

For individual hotels, have a look at www.booking.com and select your preference. Avoid Magaluf, Palma Nova area, unless you want rowdy nightlife.
