Palazzo Sasso -- Recent Reviews

We'll be in Ravello for 2 nights during our next trip to Italy in the Spring. I'm planning on staying at the Palazzo Sasso in their junior suite (sea view but no balcony) with my husband and 3-year-old son.

Just wondering if anyone has stayed there recently. Does it still live up to its reputation? Any opinions on the junior suite? I've seen some mixed reviews lately, and am wondering if it's still "the" place to stay in Ravello.

BTW, we looked into the new Hotel Caruso (renovated by Orient-Express Hotels), but they're booked up with a wedding party during the dates we need. They said they'd let us know if anything opens up.

Thanks!

The Palazzon Sasso is a stunning hotel and in my view the best choice in the area, including Le Sirenuse and San Pietro

Stayed there in June for a week. It is magnificent. If you can get balcony with a sea view. Unless you don't want a balcony because of the child. It is the best place to stay on the Amalfi coast.
Have a great time.

Thanks for the replies. We're very much looking forward to our trip, and expect the Palazzo Sasso to be the highlight.

Any opinions on their restaurant "Rossellini's"?

Rosselini's restaurant was excellent, but expensive. There are so many other places to eat, food just as good, but less expensive, and more relaxing.
Enjoyed the meals there, but wanted more variety.

Grazie Alberto! Can you recommend any other place in particular? We would like an elegant but relaxed atmosphere, excellent food and a nice view if possible. We don't mind splurging a bit on a nice dinner, but would like to have good value.

MLT,
The concierge at Palazzo Sasso gave us many recommendations, for lunch and dinner. Just tell him what you want, and he'll accomodate. he was very helpful. I can't remember thenames of the places we ate.
